Glitter mosaic (locker) mirror

As sad as it is to admit it, school is about to be back in session. I'm not sad about starting school, but just the end of a wonderfully busy and exciting summer. When I was in Junior High one exciting part of going back to school was the prospect of decorating my locker. One year I kept a succulent in my locker and named it Mansa Musa. It was wonderful. One locker essential is a mirror. And not any plain old mirror will do. You need something jazzy! My fabulous friend Chloe Rose came up with this easy and fun back to school craft, and I'm sure you will enjoy it!

Supplies:
-1 cheap magnetic mirror (ours were from the Dollar Tree)
-Super glue and white glue or hot glue
-Glitter paper (ours was from the scrap booking section)

First cut up the paper into various shapes between an 1.5-3 inches in length, or whatever will look most proportional to your mirror. Use superglue or hot glue to adhere your first layer of paper onto the mirror. Be careful not to stick yourself together using the superglue!
We cannot use white glue to directly adhere the paper to the plastic because the bond won't be the strongest, so that's why we must use a stronger adhesive for the first layer. For the rest of the layers that are being mosaiced (<<< you know what I mean) to the first layer white glue will be sufficient. Or you can just use hot glue for the whole thing. Just make sure that it is spread thinly over the paper.

Now, placing hot glue or white glue in a ring around your mirror on top of the first layer begin to layer on the pieces, making sure to cover all the surfaces.Once you have covered the entire decorative part of the mirror place a heavy book on top to seal everything together. If glue is oozing out around some of the pieces lay a sheet of wax paper between the mirror and the book.

And that's all! Quick, easy, fun, and customizable! What else could you ask for?
This technique could also be used on small mirrors in the home too! What a nice way to frame your beautiful face as your try to pluck your eyebrows!
Clementine, the Creative Brontosaurus agrees. What a wonderfully glittery, happy little mirror.
