It's my blog's 1st birthday!

Guys! I did it! I've blogged for a whole year!
I started my blog on a total whim. I'd wanted to start a blog before the move as to document the whole process of making our house a home, but packing is way more intense that I imagined so that didn't quite happen and I pretty much dismissed the though of blogging.
but last winter break, on New Years Eve, I just decided to blog. I thought I'd give it a shot.
A brainstormed for a name for an hour or 2, came and really though about what my purposes here would be.
I came up with "a quest for uniqueness" because I felt like it described my motives in life pretty well.
I strive to be unique in many areas of my life.
I want to be unique, be different, in a way that makes people ask, what's up with her? An d I want the answer to be that I've got God in my life and he has transformed me and shaped me into the person I am and the person I am becoming.
I want to be unique in my work ethic in school, doing my best in my studies and applying myself to my learning.
I want to be unique in my creativity, crafting, and photography.
I want to be unique in the way I ask questions and receive the world around me. I don't want to accept things at face value.
I want all this uniqueness, but it's all part of a quest.
And so I started this blog, with my first post, and I was off to the races.
I didn't start sharing them with anyone until I was about about 25 posts in, because I was terrified of being one of those bloggers who hype up their blog from the start before quickly experiencing burn out and leaving their small blog forever to sit, unupadted, on the Internet.
I am proud of myself for seriously investing my time into this blog and troubleshooting and sticking with it even when all the technology hated me and I wanted to throw this green striped laptop at the wall.
I am proud of myself for finding my niche. I love blogging. I love going places and doing things while thinking about how I'll write about it when I go to blog. Having a blog allows me to feel more bold about my photography and crafting. Having a blog makes my hobbies feel more credible to myself. It gives me a response to the redundant question of "what are you involved in? Band? Dance? Cheer?"
Well friends, I'm a blogger, and proud of it.

And I want to become a better blogger, so I've created an anonymous reader survey which should take you less than 7 minutes to complete.
I want to hear your what you think.
Please. Please. Please.
For my blog birthday.
