A quest for uniqueness: A timeless favorite- Shrinky Dinks!

This evening I have the pleasure of entertaining an artistic and spunky friend. We chose to craft with Shrinky Dinks which is proving to be a brilliant idea and satisfy us both. I opted to make key chain charms with my favorite doodley designs. Meanwhile, my friend Zoe is crafting an elaborate work of art. A dazzling mobile, more like. The main body is a diamond shape with 12 Japanese cherry blossom trees on the perimeter and one at in the center (a top view). She is now making the 12 Chinese zodiac animal signs in a dazzling way, complete with their Chinese characters. Did I mention that she is blowing my mind? Oh, by the way, Zoe is 10.
It amazes me the way some people are born with this ability to transfer what they see in their mind to paper (or #6 plastic, in this case). You see, I am a creator, but not an artist. Of course, many people become artistic by choice, but in my opinion, some people are born as artists, with an ingrained ability. I'm sure there are a group of people who are highly talented, but have never been given an opportunity to display or manifest their ability, and that is a crying shame.
I'm not going to share a tutorial because, quite frankly, it's not needed. I probably seem like a worthless blogger, but, hey, I just wanted to share. Hang with me here. I figure that if you plan on crafting with Shrinky Dinks, I assume you will buy a packet of plastic, and that means all the instruction will be on the packet.
