Baymax Band-Aid Box

Last weekend I purchased and watched Big Hero 6, one of Disney's newest animated movies. I love this movie. It is a beautiful blend of superheros, Disney magic, and beautiful animation. The story line was playful and engaging. Baymax is the unlikely personal health care assistant who becomes a 1st rate superhero sidekick. You will adore him!

Onto the Baymax Band-Aid box! (or BBB for short :))

Well, a guess a little background info first: I have the terrible habit of picking at my fingers. I pick/chew my nails, the cuticles, and the skin up above the nail below the first knuckle. It is so terrible, I know. I have tried a multitude things to stop, but no long term solutions right yet. At this point I'm just trying to keep them from getting infected. As I often have open "wounds" I need band-aids, but carrying around a box of band-aids attracts too much negative attraction and is generally lame. I realized I needed something awesome, and this, my friends, is it!
Okay, now we can actually get on to it!
I knew I needed a small tin of some sort, but all my tins and raised areas, like an Altoids tin, so I went for this one...
.. and emptied it out. As you can see, all the sides are nice and smooth.
Next was to find the images I liked and format and print them. I'm not really sure how to link the document I created BUT, if you want it let me know in the comments and I'll email it to ya.
I cut out the images and then trimmed them down to size.

I initially figured that I would modge podge all of my photos on, but that went south pretty fast. The glue didn't quite stick to the plastic so the paper rippled and the printer ink bled. Not good, not good.

So I switched gears and finished it out with contact paper.

I still like the concept, but it looked WAAAY better in my mind. It looks like a five year old glued pictures on a plastic box. Well, actually, that's what happened. Except I'm 15. Yeah, I'll probably redo it. It is better than a box of band-aids. I have to keep at mind that it isn't going in any museum. I like the progression of photos though. The first 2 photos of  are Baymax introducing himself and beginning treatment. The photo on the inside lid is Baymax being all concerned and motherly. The photo behind the band-aids is Baymax all armoured up, and kinda is a synonym of my fingers all ready for battle.

In conclusion, I'll use it, but I'm not proud of it. But it was fun to make. All's well that ends well, I guess. Happy Friday guys!
