Photo Adventure: Longhorn Caverns

This afternoon my family took a trip to Marble Falls to tour Longhorn Caverns. I never thought I'd be so blown away by the beauty of rocks, I mean, rocks people, rocks. The caverns were absolutely stunning. These photos do NOT do the caverns justice. Not at all. But, here they are.
It was cold and rainy today, so the stalagmites were dripping, hence the hood.

I am disappointed by the quality and clarity of these photos.
Nevertheless, it was very enjoyable and informative tour. The cave has such an intriguing history. It was once a meeting place for American Indians and then a lucrative rancher who owned the ranch during prohibition opened a bar and restaurant in the cavern. Now weddings and musical performances are often held inside.
Cool, past, right?
Speaking of cool, the cavern stays a balmy 68 degrees year round. This would be a great place to beat the heat. Photography tours are offered, with more of the cave shown, substantially smaller group size, and more time of capture great shots. Hopefully I will be returning soon for a photography tour!
Thanks for looking through my sub-par cave photos :)
