Photo Adventure: Mayfield Park

Austin is home to a variety of unique attractions, and Mayfield Park is one of the more docile ones. As we walked in we were greeted by an upset yet stunning peacock with all it's feathers fanned. At Mayfield one sure doesn't have to look far to see a member of the peafowl community. In the midst of the squawking and flapping, serenity can be found near the lily ponds which harbor populations of red eared sliders.

I'd like to take a moment to point out how God is so ahead of the trend. Do you see that tie dye pattern in the hibiscus? Super trendy. He's really the ultimate crafter so I'm not sure why this eureka moment surprised me, but I thought I should pass it along.
Also, another epiphany moment from earlier this week: Did you all know that the pneumonic "Go eat popcorn" is a way to help kids remember Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians? I knew it was about books of the Bible but I though each letter was representative of a book so I though Obadiah was getting thrown around more than necessary. Oh well. Live and learn.
