For King And Country concert

Friday was a pretty good day. I got to school early, received some math tutoring, won an extra credit ticket in Algebra, raised my grade in floral design a bit, finished applying the beeswax on the tips and bottom of my piece in ceramics, and world history passed relatively quickly, which is more than I can usually say. I took a quick nap after school and then my family decided to go out to a new restaurant for dinner. It was a nice pizza place with a menu longer than most essays I've written. I ordered one slice of cheese pizza, but this slice was huge. I'm talking the equivalent o f a medium size pizza. And I ate it all.
Anyhoo, my day was pretty awesome to start with, and then we went to a For King and Country concert and my day became all the better. For King and Country is a wonderfully talented, Australian, contemporary Christian band that uses oodles of instruments to create beautiful music. I honestly could have listened to them all night long. I had my camera with me (as I usually do) and I decided to try and snap a few pictures and see what would happen. I'm pretty happy with how they turned out.
(Sidenote- There wasn't anything posted or announced restricting photography. Smart phones abounded. My screen is smaller than almost all smart phones, so I figured that I wasn't being any more of a bother to the people above me than the rest of the arena)

I like the shadowy affect the smoke created here

The cellist was amazingly talented.

There were drums everywhere, but yet their music is skillfully crafted in a way that allows for many drums to be played, without them overpowering the other instruments or the vocalists.
Cool concert photos- Fun colors, smoke, lights. Id suggest listening to this while scrolling for full effect.

These next 2 photos come from my very favorite part of the concert. All the lights and smoke and colors and drums and trumpets came to a stop and we all sang "Amazing Grace" with our phone flashlights held high. It was a pretty spectacular moment. I always love when Christian bands are willing to step away from their music for a moment and allow everyone to sing a hymn. I think it is a display of selflessness in a way; being able to fully shift the focus from themselves to God. Props to them.

For King and Country is made up of very talented, multifaceted guys who know how to work together to create beautiful music. I am so grateful that I got the opportunity to attend such a wonderful concert.

PS-
Isn't this flag with their logo pretty cool looking in my craft room?
I think so.
