Fresno, California.
My hometown. It sounds weird to say "my hometown". I don't feel old enough to have a hometown. But hey, I lived there until I was almost 15.
And I'm back for 6 whole days. The first time in over a year. I've been looking forward to it for a good while. My countdown widget was what kept me moving through all our finals.
We arrived late last night, and I am so elated to be here. We have many advenutes in store, but we started off with a bang by attending the Fresno Chaffee Zoo's Zoolights, which is something we didn't do before wewe moved.
It was a completely wonderful experience. The lights, the music, the hot cocoa, the cookies, the sleepy animals.
Kylee got a monkey lightsaber and was gracefully tossing it into the air.
This lit up giraffe was stationed where the giraffee feedings are held.
The pelican statue seemed very glamour shotesque with the multicolored lighting.
Sleeping sea lion with his cute little ear flaps.
The zoo was selling these styling holographic glasses which made all the lights take on shapes. It was kind of the coolest thing, and totally worth the 2 dollars. Thanks to Kylee for being a cooperative model :)
Those glasses made me appreciate the world around me in a whole new light (ba dum pssh).
But really, I am totally saving this to use on future occasions. Imagine going to the Trail of Lights armed with these bad boys.
Also, my basketball playing cousin Jordan's wingspan pales in comparison with that of a Condor.
Zoolights was a great play to spend an evening with my family, and I'd encourage any Fresno people to go an enjoy if you haven't already.
