Spring Break 2016: Day 6

Thursday!
Thursday was a pretty chill day, and a great opportunity to take a big breath and relax.
My morning was calm and relaxed, sleeping in and then a good bit of blogging. While dad was reading through the community newspaper he found a coupon for a free dog wash at this Healthy Pet place, and since the dog was in need of a bath we figured we'd go check it out.
Gracie enjoyed the car ride there.

Healthy Pet has 2 of these bathing rooms. They have an elevated tub with a ramp up to it (if you have a bigger dog) and these slotted racks that go inside to elevate the dog above the water. The sprayer head resembles the kind in industrial kitchens, and the blow dryer looks like the kind at car washes. They have a variety of brushes and shampoos and conditioners too. It's a pretty sweet gig, and for free it was definitely worth it.

The dog enjoyed shaking around the a crazy child. Which is exactly why dad and I left our glasses in the truck.

This adorable puppy seemed a little smug until we got to the drying segment of the bathing process, and then she lightened up quite a bit. I think this change in the bath situation was an exciting change for her.

This if the fluffiest and most curly I've ever seen her. I think that's on account of the fact that she didn't get brushed out like she does at the groomer, but she was more thoroughly well rinsed and dried than at home.

Once we returned home I blogged a little and got to work on a postcard for a friend. It turned out great, but because it was a tad more complicated and involved than I was previously expecting I think I'll just give it a post of it's own. It was a fun time.

When mom arrived home from work we ran a few errands, and when we returned home I noticed that our neighbor's garage door was tinted pink, indicating a colorful sunset, so I again sprinted to the park to watch it.

The evenings after a stormy day always seem to yield the most unpredictable sunsets.

We then watched the finale of one of our shows as a family, and the dog seemed quite pleased.

Yay for chill Thursdays that precede exciting Fridays.
