Spring Break 2016: Day 7

Friday!

SWEET BERRY FARMS (BUM BUM BUM) GOOD TIMES NEVER SEEMED SO GOOD

So yes, my family (with grandma!) went on an adventure to Sweet Berry Farms in Marble Falls. Does this sound familiar? It should. Remember the goat birth situation and the flowers and pumpkins? Yup, same place, different season.

We went to pick strawberries! And they were gorgeous! (Don't mind my wrist rolls though. They don't know what's going on with the world)

Picking berries was a fun time. All the shapes and stages.

Note how some ripen from the top down or from the left to the right. Very interesting and quite biologically interesting.

Do yall see this heart shape? Maybe someday I'll edit it to make it more prominent and cute.

We even had little insect friends to accompany us!

We weighed and purchased our strawberries as well as the basket/box, which can be reused for our next fruit picking rendezvous. Later in the season blackberries and peaches will be available to be picked, and I'm super pumped about that.

Fresh strawberry ice cream was also purchased, and was completely on par with the pumpkin ice cream of our last visit.

We bought goat food and my grandma enjoyed feeding the goats, as photos obviously show.

No goat births this time, only sleepy goats chilling in a defunct slide.

Young and old were delighted by the herd.

A STAIRWAY OF GOATS! Goats everywhere!

So many mirrors!

After a quick stop at home, mom and I headed back out to enjoy some frozen yogurt and conversation with family friends. Cookies and Creme froyo with Oreo crumbles- what could be better? And great people? Yup. Happy pappy people up in here.

After a chill morning and afternoon my family decided to mix it up and head to the shooting range. I shot my 9mm a little before choosing to take a break and go outside to shoot my Canon and capture this shot. Yeah, I think I prefer shooting with my Canon. It gives a sense of power over the moment, but you feel the empowerment wash over you slowly as you drink in the scene. At least, that's what photography does for me.

Later that evening I decided to hang up my paper crane strands but I had to transport them upstairs, and onto my face they went. And it was late, and I took a picture. And looking back it makes me laugh. So here it is. Sometimes, when adults are warning us teens about the dangers of oversharing I just have to laugh at the thought of an admissions person coming across a gem like this. Yes, I'm applying to your school, and yes, I have strands of origami tapes on my face, and yes, my left hand looks huge and zombie-like. I'm sure this changes your perspective of me as a potential student.

I'm very pleased with the way they turned out, and their tutorial will make it's way on the blogola soon. They add a great dimensional pop to the dead spaces around my rooms.

After the crane hanging extravaganza I decided to work on my quilt some. And obviously I'm a professional. How could you argue with my methods? I simply throw things everywhere and hope it works out. (I work like a 5 year old, but we don't talk about that)

Anyhoo, yeah, that was my Friday!
