Photo Adventure: Wildseed farm and Fredericksburg

Yesterday my family traveled 94 miles to the town of Fredericksburg. Fredericksburg is the cutest, most picturesque little German town you ever did see, and is home to Wildseed Farm. Wildseed Farm is a working farms which sells the seeds of wild flowers and grasses. They are open to the public and they have multiple flower fields that the public can ooh and ahh over. It's crazy awesome.

Red "blue"bonnets. What?

Its like a pack of skittles were thrown into the dirt and bloomed, right?

I like the spiral pattern made the reddish bluebonnets create

Macro shot of the inside of a poppy

A whole field of poppies!

I never knew that bluebonnets came in multiple colors!

Purple "blue"bonnets

I like the swirlyness of the flower bud

It's so ombre!

So many colors!

I like the area where a red and white mix.

You go, pink poppy. Stand out. I like you.

At first this looks like a normal tree, right?

Wrong! That design is made by a ton of caterpillars! Just on this one tree. Weird, right?

This little guy's name is Herman. I offered him a ride to the nearest field and a penny in exchange for him to do a quick photo shoot. He happily obliged.

Just being a caterpillar.

Sporting his fashionable self

Being all artsy on a flower

Posing like a boss

I paid this little dude what I owed him but he wasn't all that interested. Thanks Herman!

After saying bye to my caterpillar buddy it was my turn to take artsy photos in the beautiful fields of flowers.

Next we headed to the Historic Downtown district and ate and shopped.

I enjoyed a fancy schmancy grilled cheese

Look at the detail of the ceiling, crown molding, and chandelier. So fancy!

Such a bright little shop...

...and fun too!

Fancy mirror selfie

This chair looks so worn and cozy

The extra tires remind me of bubles flying behind the bike

Such a unique dressing room and beautiful dress

The hanging birdcages out front are so unique and happy

Doesn't this remind you of something you'd find on Rodeo Drive in Hollywood?

Another fancy mirror selfie

I love this display! The oilcloth background, the really thin shelf in the middle, and the pig portrait.

While walking through the town we found this cat and he was NOT amused. Not in the least. He wants vengeance. I'm not sure what trauma this guy experienced, but it changed him. Don't mess with him.

Happy Easter friends! Hope you don't find any upset black cats in the near future.
